(VxPxC) Drapery Dept. - House of Alchemy 2006. house of 002 cdr !!!SOLD OUT!!! "Recorded in a deserted movie lot office, this ghostly document shows the threesome in full family mode, with a guest in town. The expansive six-member line-up rages distantly at the single microphone and fills the hollow air with a thick sonic fog. "Ballad of the Empty Room" sounds as if you were sitting in the corner of the room and listening to three different bands play in rooms around you. It is the sounds of a Titan's lullaby, a massive drift of ice and earth across a sea." from House of Alchemy REVIEW on Animal Psi REVIEW on Smooth Assailing REVIEW on Foxglove
(VxPxC) Reticent to Manifest 2007. Abandon Ship Records ASR001 C40 !!!!SOLD OUT!!!! Reticent to Manifest was made on a cold summer's night in Los Angeles... High on salsa verde and the thick brown air, three men went in and one long string of sound came out. (VxPxC) has been known for pulling some legs and some hair in the past, but this tape is the start of a very long apology of sorts... a way to say "Hey, we like music too... maybe just not the same stuff as you, but you know..." Not a particularly heart-felt apology, mind you, but a start... (VxPxC) - We're sorry! From Abandon Ship Records Review on Blastitude

The Last Days of (VxPxC) 2006. Foxglove 141 After their monster 3xCDR set from earlier this year, we just knew that one day the Los Angeles-based (VxPxC) would steal our little hearts. On this, their final session of 2005, these boy wonders extricate spacious, intricate compositions from the spiral galaxy drones of yesteryear. A vast array of instrumentation provide the perfect canvas for these majestic spells. This is music that grows from the roots, falling head-first into the icy tendrils of the new dawn. Their voices pierce the organ murk and guitar expanses like lonesome souls begging to be freed. This is magical toward oblivion. Limited to 100 copies. From Foxglove
(VxPxC) - Of Indeterminate Age CD-r 2007. Phantom Limb Recordings - ARM 004 The richest hues, soaked in heavy decay. The brightest tones, steeped in analog fuzz and digital fog. The sound of one hand waving away the smoke from a burning bush. This new cd-r from (VxPxC) stacks layers of analog and digital keyboards with looping guitars and voices, and peppers the whole mix with a slew of acoustic instruments (from banjos to accordions to violins). This cd-r is protected from the forces of nature by a black plastic clamshell perfectly matched with industrial photos by Andrew Smrz. From Phantom Limb Recordings

(VxPxC) Devoid of Karma - MYMWLY 2006. MYMWLY0051 Deep space cosmic whisperings , prog spirals and sonic exorcisms minced into a dense narcotic fog of melodic guitars , bowed strings , keyboard mutilations and spectral murmurs, slowly creepy from the speakers to flood the room with trance vibrations , occasionally lifting itself up into clatterings of drum and bone , or prayer like voicings. There is a visual quality to this music , a narrative flow , like bearing witness to strange events , creepy and portentous . From Music Your Mind Will Love You
(VxPxC) Chinatown Nose-Cut cd-r 2007. released on Dead Sea Liner This sister piece to (VxPxC)'s "twelve divided by three" and "reticent to manifest" cassettes sees a more electronic slant to their blissful free improv folk sound. A murky psychedelic puddle of every Californian cliche peppered with angel dust and left to melt in the midday heat. Walls of broken electricity and fuzzy musicality help you to feel like you're stumbling towards the light with a serious case on sun blindness. Limited Edition of 75. Beautiful packaging by Alan of Dead Sea Liner. From Dead Sea Liner
(VxPxC) Porchmass cd 2007 released on Digitalis High above the city streets, sprawled on the wood and cinderblock of the Goodwillies' compound, (VxPxC) chooses the strange path back down the mountain of sound. Armed with first time accordions and toxic boxes, pots, pans and a snake charmer flute, the trio plus guests and ghosts unravel your ear drums and take you back to the country of innocence and dread. From Digitalis read a really thorough and too-true review in Dusted Magazine.
